Brocade Certified Fabric Administrator - BCFA
This new certification represents a split in the traditional BCFP. To gain this certification you must have an understanding of basic Fibre Channel concepts, demonstration of a basic knowledge of Brocade SAN switching platforms and related components, the ability to install, configure, and maintain Brocade hardware and software products and troubleshoot basic switch issues. The certification will start with a beta exam, 142-410. The BCFA beta exam will run from 11/20/2009 through 12/22/2009. The promo code is BCFA2009Beta, and we will allow 150 exams to be delivered. Results will go out in the mail beginning 2/17/2010 but will be available in your Pearson VUE account on 2/16/2010. Please remember to cancel if you cannot make your scheduled exam appointment as Brocade gets charged for all no-shows. People failing to cancel may be prevented from taking future beta exams.

Brocade Certified Fabric Professional - BCFP
This certification represents mastery of the basics of the Brocade Switch and knowledge of Fibre Channel Theory. As a Brocade Certified Fabric Professional, you must demonstrate an ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot various Brocade products and exhibit proficiency in the intricacies of Brocade Switches. The current exam for this credential is 143-060.
This exam will retire on 12/31/2009 and be replaced with 143-070, which will go live 1/29/2010.
The BCFP 2010 beta exam 142-070 will run from 11/12/2009 through 12/22/2009. The promo code is BCFP2009Beta, and we will allow 150 exams to be delivered. Brocade Certified SAN Manager - BCSM
This certification indicates an advanced understanding of administering Brocade products and managing the overall SAN implementation and is based on the BCFP Certification (we suggest candidates be BCFP certified first). As a Brocade Certified SAN Manager, you must demonstrate the ability to manage a SAN based on Brocade products. The current exam for this credential is 143-360.
Brocade Certified Fabric Designer - BCFD
As a Brocade Certified Fabric Designer you will be expected to identify and understand key DCF Design concepts, identify trade-offs involving manageability, availability, scalability, and performance to create a successful DCF design to suit requirements, and understand and translate the DCF architecture into a deployment plan, including integration into existing DCF environments. The current exam for this credential is 143-260.
Brocade Certified Architect for FICON - BCAF
This level of certification indicates you understand IBM System z I/O concepts, and can demonstrate knowledge of Brocade FICON Director and switching SAN components. You have the ability to design, install, configure, maintain, manage, and troubleshoot Brocade hardware and software products for local and metro distance (100 km) environments. Choose the BCAF path if you are part of pre-sales, support, a designer or a professional services consultant. The current exam for this credential is 143-110.
