NES® (National Evaluation Series™) Computer-Based Testing
The NES® (National Evaluation Series™) is a teacher certification testing program from the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson. NES tests are aligned to professionally accepted, national subject and pedagogy standards. The test fields range from tests of essential academic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and technology literacy to tests of a candidate’s knowledge of pedagogy and specific content areas.
Registration
In order to schedule a test, you must first complete the registration process at one of the following sites:
- www.NEStest.com
- www.orela.nesinc.com (for licensure in Oregon)
Scheduling
When you register for a NES test for the first time, Pearson VUE will automatically create a VUE account for you. You will be sent an e-mail that contains a username and password for use on this site. Sign in using those credentials. If you have previously registered for a NES test, sign in using your current username and password.
You may schedule your test on line 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. Test appointments are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
After you schedule your test, Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation e-mail listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
