The NES® (National Evaluation Series™)
The NES® (National Evaluation Series™) is a new teacher certification testing program from the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson. NES tests are aligned to professionally accepted, national subject and pedagogy standards. The test fields range from tests of essential academic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and technology literacy to tests of a candidate’s knowledge of pedagogy and specific content areas.
Evaluation Systems is seeking teacher certification candidates or recently certified teachers to participate in pilot tests for all NES fields. If you are seeking certification, or have recently been certified, you may be eligible to participate. Pilot test participants will receive compensation upon verification of participation. Participants may complete up to eight pilot tests for compensation.

Scheduling Information
You may schedule, cancel, and reschedule NES pilot test appointments beginning in October 2009. Pilot test examinees must have a minimal working knowledge of a computer mouse, and have the ability to “point and click.”
Pilot test fields are available according to the following schedule.
Please be aware that if you are unable to keep a testing appointment, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled test time. You will only receive compensation upon verification of participation in a pilot test.
After you schedule your test, Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
